Miami, FL 2018 – Wax Custom Communications swept away Big Pharma finalists and their entries for products like Flonase and Eskata, earning a Silver award in the category of Use of Data/Analytics at this year’s Medical Marketing & Media Awards. The award was given for Wax’s unique and highly engaging multichannel campaign titled, “Truth in Medicine.” The multi-award-winning campaign uses captivating, relatable images to answer common health questions and directs consumers to receive more information from South Nassau Communities Hospital’s leading physicians.
Each year, the MM&M Awards celebrate creativity and effectiveness in healthcare marketing. Agencies, clients and other organizations that produce healthcare marketing content in the U.S. and Canada are invited to submit their best work, which is judged by an independent panel of seasoned industry experts. Truth in Medicine’s effective use of market and hospital analytics ultimately helped the hospital beat out Big Pharma competition, including works by Boehringer Ingelheim and Aptus Health, GSK and Wunderman Health, and Sunovion Pharmaceuticals, CMI/Compas and AbelsonTaylor.
To create the innovative campaign, Wax and South Nassau used extensive target audience research to help the hospital make significant gains in brand awareness and preference, as well as increases in patient volume. Research sources included hospital, state and big data along with data from Facebook, Google and NRC Health.
